Arriving to conclusion there's no such thing as a good-looking vintage or vintage-looking strap that is waterproof. U just have to use your leather strap, break it in, in whatever condition, and live with consequences.. Dampness, etc.! It's leather, after all! Doesn't a horse saddle take rain? Don't shoes take rain? Get a decent waxing/leather care kit and enjoy!
