Hopefully mine will not be $2800 to get it to its glory,...
I realized these cases and bezel scratch VERY easy so i will wear it a few months and see how its running and then send it in for the full service and polish..
could I take it to NYC or do u suggest sending it to Switzerland?
Mine was so expensive because it's a vintage piece and it definitely needed major love on the inside. Yours should be within the $1200 range.

Thank you for the info.. I also got a invatation to the AP owners forum.. I feel soo special , when I got my rolex's I did not get any invatations..
The watch was purchased 4/2003 but is still keeping great time.. I have not touched it since I got it and it is on point.. I just don't know how I will set the day , date and moonphase tommorrow.. There is only the crown so I guess it performs all the functions.. The only thing that was not set was the moonphase and the guy said that he never bothered with it.. It does not seem to have moved in the 2 days I had the watch so I am not sure it it just moves very slowly and it says that I should not set the moonphase untill after 7PM.. Can anyone give me some more detailed information on how to set this movement . I used to keep all my watches on the winder but we currently have our home for sale so I have all my other watches locked up so I do not rotate them anymore.. Thanks guys for all the help and info..

P.S. the only thing that stinks about this watch is that it is VERY prone to scratches.

Enjoy that puppy! Don't worry about setting the day-date-moon. Here's the instruction manual for your watch. Enjoy!
