I would never buy a modern Rolex to save, only to wear and enjoy. Strange question from OP
Perhaps OP could explain his reasoning behind the question?

The way I see it, by the time I'd been a member here several months and had passed 100 posts, I'd read so many threads that I think I had a good sense of what this great forum is all about. By that time I'd already seen so many threads about stickers and discounts and price increases to know everything there is to know about those questions and that these were pretty much tired questions though respectfully dealt with as long as they came from new members.

It appears from the link above that you already have several nice watches, but your question sounds like it's from a total newbie to the world of watches. Any stickers left on those others you have? How did you handle it with those? Did you get good discounts?

Again, given the length of your tenure and post count, I think you might have answered your own questions or predicted the responses you'd get. Just saying, IMO, coming from you,
I wanted to say the same thing - you just use much nicer words.

Wear it. One price increase is not going to help your cause this early in the game. When I started going to my AD for the first time and brought up the investment side of it, they said you won't know if it is a good investment for 20 years or more. There will have to be a lot of increases to recoup the cost of the watch and you still have maintain it. Wear it and keep it in good condition if it is that big of a deal.

If you sell it you'll loose 15%. What will you do then? Go buy another for more money?

And if price increase would be around the corner, dealer would not give 15% discount. More like 0%.
