All solid responses gents, even from the folks that dislike the Sky-D.

OP in case you missed it here is my response on your other thread...

I love the look of the watch on a chocolate strap. However, sounds like you are already considering selling it someday. If you are going to spend that much I would pay even more and go for the WG or YG with matching bracelet. Not an expert but I would think you would get more of your original investment back. I suspect that a greater percentage of folks prefer a metal bracelet thus expanding your potential market.

I agree, bracelets are better for steel/WG watches and leather better for YG/RG to class them up a bit more.

After seeing the watch again, decided against moving forward. Will wait for a WG model.
Thanks for everyone's feedback.

Good for you... Here is the 326939 I had that I sold to a fellow collector! ;-)

Good luck!

I would not wear a watch with a leather band every day. I do everything with my watch on including showering and washing dishes. A leather band would never make it past the 1st week on my wrist, I would never remember to take it off.

i too would like the RG on leather better... and perhaps also subscribe to the "complication + leather = win" camp...

in the end, after taking the pros and cons, it will still be you who can decide...

At that price I would not do leather.

I have decided to wait for a WG model for all of the reasons many of you have suggested.
Thanks for the feedback.

The WG model is stunning, not a bad decision.

Haven't had the opportunity to see them in person yet.....

My first instinct is the white gold with cream dial.

Good luck!
Sam makes a good point here, the rose gold/chocolate dial definitely looks more excellent on his skin tone

Congrats on the SKD!! Tried on the RG model myself but the leather strap isn't large enough for my wrist. I can't wait to try on the YG and see it in person.

I'd never buy a new Rolex or any high end watch on leather. Cheaper to add leather later.
