Frustrating to see how much photobucket dramatically reduce the quality of the pictures when they are hotlinked to forums. Look at the text "submariner" for instance, it's so blurred it's unbelievable. It's not like this when I view them in the photobucket library... And to think I pay them for unlimited bandwidth. Can't say I'm impressed.

I should have uploaded the images to TRF itself, or perhaps just start using another service all together. Anyone got any tips? Is Flickr good (does it compress the images when hotlinked for instance?).

Thanks for the kind words by the way.

Love the pics and love the collection! Did you use photoshop, Lightroom or a combination of the two to edit those? Super good stuff, fel like I was browsing a brands website.

I only use lightroom, can't afford photoshop at the moment, that money is going towards the next watchpurchase. Moved my pictures to Flickr, which is MUCH better than photobucket. Here's my photostream, with pictures in much higher resolution: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kohe321/

Agreed. Great shots and great collection. Trying to decide if I want a Explorer I or II but now after looking at your pics I am feeling I need both.

I like these very much! Any chance of shooting the setup sometime? It would be very interesting to see where you put the reflectors and the softbox.

My setup for these pictures was very simple: D600 with 105mm nikkor macro, my iphone with "flashlight" application as a softbox, and strips of aluminiumfoil as reflectors.

If I remember it, I'll take some pictures with my phone of the "rig" (haha) and how it looks in action the next time I do a photosession. :)

Here's the camera:

And again, my photostream on Flickr.
