Wow... that's quite a story..... and I presume a % being lost everytime......
I tend to do all my trying on for free at AD's and then contact DavidSW....... So far.... no returns or change of mind..... but there again.... I am a horological hoarder ...... and like the variety....... But best of luck with the GMT.... an absolutely fantastic watch and one of my favourites, albeit I have the TT version. |

My vote is a DateJust II. It is slightly bigger than the TT SubC and the GMT2C, going off of you saying that the TT subC was a bit small for your taste.

So it looks like the GMT it is. I must have tried on every Rolex in the AD, lol... The GMT fits the bill for me. It's a stunner.
A very big thank you to everyone who responded to this thread, your advice is greatly appreciated. |

I think you probably prefer the hunt to the kill, but most likely at days end the AP Diver or other ROO is probably your ideal watch, in terms of brand position and size.

No offense intended at all; however, as others have suggested, I would slow down---A LOT!
Take some time to study various watches without buying. Check them out, look at them on the web, see wrist shots, and try to find what is still singing to you after a few months. For me, I debated for at least six months over the various models before I chose the one for me. And, even then I ended up selling that watch, the GMTIIC, to buy the watch I had debated choosing first, the GMTIIC TT. |
