Really like that JLC but Daytona, all the way. If I needed a purely dress watch, I'd consider the JLC, but a strap watch is never, IMO, going to be a "do everything" watch like the Daytona can be. Plus, service for any Rolex is easy to find-- JLC much less so.

JLC, Daytonas are so.....ubiquitous. JLC is much more unique.

Love JLC and in fact have a different JLC Chrono, but of these two I would go Daytona - I tend to favor sportier watches right now.

That JLC does absolutely nothing for me. As Neil said, it completely lacks any personality or feel of history. That's not to say I'd vote Daytona over every other sport chrono...but that JLC is meh. Personally, I'd put my vote for the 16520. The contrast is beautiful.

Love the JLC but I will have to go with the Daytona, there is something about specially if you see it live, the JLC looks smaller, it is also 40 but live looks smaller.

Daytona without a doubt! The JLC is nice, but IMO doesn't compare.

Why zig when you can zag?

If you're happy being part of the herd get the Daytona. If you want to be different then get the JLC.

There are definitely JLCs out there that I'd choose over the Daytona, but in this case I lean towards the Daytona.

Good luck!

Between the two, Daytona. I bought mine in 2011 and have loved it since. However, if I were to purchase again, I would opt for Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chrono instead of my current 116520.
