ROC.
I'd say the same if posted on the Rolex forum.

Zenith Daytona. ROC is a beautiful watch but inside is an F.Piguet 1185 movement. Same movement as in the Cartier Pasha in the past. Expensive watch with a far from elite movement. something you would expect (a manufacture movement) for a watch that costs that much.

Zenith Daytona is a fantastic movement in desirable Daytona design. Some say the Zenith movement is more accurate than the current movement.

I wasn't under the impression that FP1185 is such a slouch, but I'm certainly no expert on movements. I thought it was one of the top thin chronos. Isn't it also used by VC? So that's 2 out of 3 in the holy trinity?

No slouch at all! One of the finest chrono calibres ever made. Do you think AP would modify it into the 2385 and put it inside the 26300 if it was so crappy?

I have a Zenith Daytona and its one of my favorite watches. I also have the in house movement Daytona, nicer bracelet, longer power reserve, and a great watch. But I prefer the Zenith, I wore one for 5 years as a daily wearer and it was the most accurate automatic watch I've ever owned. I love AP, and I enjoy my RO Jumbo. I do like the RO chronograph, but I would not trade Daytona with El Primero movement toward one.

As for the F.Piguet 1185, its a great movement. One of the thinnest automatic chronographs. Its used in several great brands, VC, Breguet, AP, and Blanpain. The movements in the VC and AP have a gold rotor finer finish than what you will find in a Pasha, but then again a Pasha is a lot less expensive than the other brands. As for expecting a manufacture movement in a watch costing that much...not necessarily. Chronographs are incredibly pricey to create from start to finish. Its possible AP will do it for the ROC some day, but I imagine it would bump the price into a higher range much like that of the Nautilus Chronograph. In addition, even Patek only recently developed its own chronograph movements. Until recently, all of their chronographs used a Lemania base movement (and those watches have all become quite desireable and the prices have gone up considerably).

As much as I love this (not a zenith obviously but same logic), I would go with AP as my chrono if I had to do it over again today.

"pimpy doo"?

I'd go with the ROC myself. I've owned both and let both go but of the two, the ROC would be the way I'd go.

I sold my Daytona and I don't have ROC yet. But the AP would definitely get my attention on someone before the Daytona.

I already have about 5k saved up and a ap royal oak day date moonphase if Anyone wants to make my dreams come true and do a trade pus 5k.. I think I am going to have to sell my 1st ap in order to acquire the 26300 panda which is my dream watch.
I fell in love with this watch the first time I seen it on ari gold wrist and been saving up ever since but seems like every time I save up 6-7k I settle on soemthing else.. I thought this ap I got would quench my thirst for the 26309 because it had 3 sub dials and looks a little like it but I was wrong so now I will prob sell unless someone wants to trade plus cash to make my dream come true...
