I love my massive big stainless steel manly Deepsea. Had my doubts at first but it's my favorite now, love the size, weight and features.
On another note, there are a few Rolexes I don't like at all, yet I don't feel the need to start a thread denigrating them.

I've tried one on several times, and every time, it felt unbalanced on my wrist, likely due to it's thickness. The gold YM2 though, a bigger and much heavier watch, is better proportioned on me, and feels much more balanced, that's a watch that I could better wear.

I feel much safer in this forum knowing we have so many masculine, manly, he-man-ish and securely macho men that appreciate a 'man's watch.' It's too big for me in an over-compensating kind of way, though.

P.S. to see and wear it I had to travel to another island (Oahu) the big city to visit the Rolex store.

I've just looked up Kauai - WOW, stunning place. You're very lucky to live there. Bet you're not stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on your way home!

The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things. Also, I have a DSSD and I'm securely macho enough to also wear a 36mm ultra thin dress watch ( and a SeamasterGMT of course, which is somewhere in the middle).

There are some Rolex models that I don't like but I keep it to myself. I don't like negativity in these threads, the criticisms are NEVER constructive but mostly offensive.

I love the thickness of the DSSD just as I love the thickness of some Omega and Breitling watches ( especially the Chrono Avenger - why did they stop producing that beauty?)

i've never handled another watch from any brand (even rolex) equal to my dssd when comparing price, appeal or design purpose. its not my everyday watch but it certainly is my truly special one.

Opinions matter, it annoys you and the other fans of the DSSD, totally understandable. I can't speak for anyone else, just myself and I can tell you that when I do voice my opinion on these threads, all 4,000 of them, it's only because the original Seadweller was such an icon, and I feel like that icon has been taken away, and I'm pissed.

The fact that some of us are pissed and we voice that opinion inturn pisses off the fans of the DSSD, so we both in a sense have to deal with it I guess and try to get along with out whining too much.

Like you said: "To each their own" lets tread lightly on others opinions. JMHO
