I have a Deepsea and tried the Diver on. It did look bigger, but it's an optical illusion. I feel it's because the Diver doesn't have lugs per sé, so it has more presence. On my wrist the Diver looked bigger but side by side you could see the Deepsea has more diameter and of course taller.
The AP Diver is just sex for your eyeballs, it's my grail. Go for it.
The salesperson at the New York boutique told me servicing would run me about $1200 bucks every five years.
Good luck.

Going over the same issue here, anyone has a pic of an Exp 2 or a 15400 side to side with a diver?

Go with the steel Diver. I don't know why but the yellow on the FC and the orange in the ceramic kills it for me as I am more conservative. The SS is the way to go... You won't regret it.

My two cents and good luck.

I had a Submariner and sold that in October to buy a Diver.

Honestly, once you have tried a Diver on the Sub feels like a cheap toy in comparison. I know it sounds harsh - but it's true...and I really loved my Sub!

I still spend ages just looking at the little details on the case and dial and never get bored of it. It really is a fantastic watch!

I know what you mean but thats a bit harsh on the ole sub. I think there is room in most collections for both Diver and the subc as there has been in mine

The steel diver is an absolute killer of a watch. I'm not a massive fan of the sub. Especially the C. I've had a few and the only one that's remained is the 16610LV with a black insert.

The DSSD is my preferred choice in the Rolex dive range.

I find the diver sits extremely comfortably on my wrist. It's proportions are superb and the finish makes it a joy to gaze down at.

Thanks for all the input and enabling pics fellas, really pushed me over the edge...

Hal's two Diver enabling threads was what really got the itch started for me after doing some searches on TRF for Diver reviews (thanks Hal) and now just wired some money to David, it looks like I will be joining the AP club for the first time

Tried on the Bumblebee at Tourneau as it was the closest thing they had IMO with a 42mm case if I'm not mistaken, the BB wasn't for me but the size looked manageable which was my main concern, I will definitely need the XS strap and David will have the watch shipped with the XS straps installed.

I'll be doing the incoming dance by Wednesday or Thursday!!!

I agree, after trying on the Bumblebee and having a Pepsi GMT, I'm excited for the "plain" steel and black look as the Pepsi bezel is the most color I think I could handle (even flipped a LVc). The FC and Ceramic Divers look amazing though, I really like the skeleton caseback on the ceramic, but SS with price and very appealing simplicity won it for me.

So you are the one that beat me to the Diver David had listed. Lucky for me he had another one available so I too will have another AP coming tomorrow.

Buy it. Enjoy it.

And if for any reason you don't like it (which I doubt very much) you can flip it extremely easy and you won't lose much $$$$ if any.
Do you also orderd the XS strap for your 6.5 wrist?

Very nice! I don't think you can go wrong with the AP Diver. Love the look of the bracelet in the last post. Between that a rubber strap to alternate with you have a perfect piece.
