because then your rolex is no longer original, and is thus worth way less money.

Rolliworks an option?

I understand Michael Young is the gold standard however if the OP wants a US based option I believe Rolliworks might be the best answer. I have not dealt with them personally but have read good reviews, YMMV.

Because a stainless oyster costs $1500 plus Rolex wants the old bracelet. Having a new, unoriginal bracelet will kill the resale value of your timepiece

The pin that connects the last link (for watch body mount) broke on my GMT Master II, Rolex said not repairable and would be $1500 plus surrender of my original bracelet. I told them “va fongoo”, bought a pin, had to do a bit of filing, replaced both sides, and just as good, if not better than original pin (thicker).

I was initially very nervous about sending my bracelet to Michael Young in Hong Kong, because I had fears of an international shipping debacle.
With that said, at a certain point you need to trust. He did a wonderful job and I am more than happy with the results. I paid in the neighborhood of $800.00 for my OP bracelet.

Does Rolex do a bracelet repair as a service?

I,m sure there is somebody who does this in the US. Saw some advertising (maybe on fb) some time ago. Maybe also that it can be easily fixed drilling slightly up all pin bores and using thicker pins.

Rolliworks will rebuild/repair your bracelet. They're fantastic. Had them work on one of mine with great result.
