I believe that this age group was tired of the tuna can fliploks and though the ceramic inserts came "along with" the new machined clasp sections (you have to buy the whole package, another words), it's was sorta a bitter sweet and somewhat welcome bonus to get an insert that would always look "pretty" and thus, never would fade; all while secretly and never admittingly saying that they were actually foolproof and a marvel of ROLEX "over- engineering"...

Last year, 45 at the time, with a 114060 then a 14060m to spread my age, wisdom and money even thinner. More ceramics and non ceramics to follow god willing.

I'm not sure what the results reveal, since older people tend to have more money for things like a Rolex. Also, at this point, ceramics are so prevalent across the Rolex sports range, they are tough to avoid if you want new (and, at these prices, I think most do). But, fun poll nonetheless.
