Great story with your dad, Seth.

Don't worry, you'll get your DD2 back.... once your dad swaps it back for your WG sub!!

I think if I was going smooth/white dial, I would go Millie. IMO, the silver dial DJ2 smooth rules the roost. Just my two cents...

You had my sympathy until you posted the wrist shot from dinner.

Nice pics!
Although I prefer the Exp2 of the white dials you mentioned, I think the DJ2 would make a great stand in for the DD.

That's great, Seth! They should be shared with the family. My dad wore my Sub for a long time and loved it. Before that, he had always made fun of me for having a Rolex, but after wearing it for many months he didn't want to give it back. As soon as I find the vintage Sub I'm looking for, dad gets the 14060 back.

Great dogs!

i have been thinking about the panda daytona.

that would be a darned good trifecta. sadly tho, that will need to bit of time to build up the watch account again.

the smurf mostly depleted it. while i could swing SS, it would be a wait for the gold.

that said, i do prefer gold and SS might just be a band-aid. this will require some

i wish.

this is where the old man and i differ. he refuses to wear a colored dial or bezel because he needs to match everything.

the colors drive him crazy. . while i enjoy the contrast. but alas, he will not wear the blue sub. if it were black, he would love it.

It's worth waiting. Save and wait.

yes my friend. ultimately, i know you are correct.

i really do love all these white dial watches these guys are posting. i think i would be happy with any of them.

but in the end, i would surely be happiest with the panda.

i believe it is time to start saving again.

Every time I think I have the upper-hand on my old man, he always shows me how dead wrong I am. Lol.

Depends if you really want to give it your dad... If not, I would pull quick like a bandaid or his bond will continue to grow with the piece... It would hurt more from his perspective a year from now after he has bonded with it. If I remember correctly you already bought him a GMT... make him an offer to flip the GMT for a piece of his choosing or give him the DD, take the GMT to rebuild your gold nest egg.

Also, don't let that guy make you double think about sharing on the forum. This placed would be pretty cold with no real emotion!
