Worrying too much about what is 'trendy' or 'fashionable' locks you in to a process where other people make decisions for you. Often people without any 'taste' and ulterior motives (to sell you stuff)
I like to assess things on their perceived intrinsic worth - how they look to me - and what sort of response they elicit. I don't buy things to please others.
