For the life of me I cannot find the link but I swear there was a how-to here showing that this is possible. I don't remember if you needed special end links or if you needed to modify something, but I believe it can be done with some effort.

I think you are right that special straps and end links can be made but it has to be custom to fit and match up well. I would rather just spring for one type or the other as opposed to the expense of modifying the original strap or bracelet.

Price wise I think around US$16K to 17K for a 116519 with a meteorite. Expensive dial!

Meteorite dial is really quite stunning. While I've never been a Daytona man... this watch is something I really want to try.

I know it is kind of cheaping out, but you could fit a stainless bracelet to the WG head ... I considered this option for a while.

I agree with Padi, same movement, different style/color of dial only. Meteorite dial is always a winner but go for the white gold and make sure to get the alligator leather strap for a high-class look! It's a subtle way of showing off your watch. I'm curious to see when you get yours. Post 'em yo! ;)

No, bracelet cant be put on strap models, bezel construction is different, so modding if even possible would be a huge job.
