What many people don't realize is that the "flippers" are not the grey dealers. The flippers are the inner circle of risti's that don't want anyone to know they are flippers themselves. The grey dealers in these cases are just consignment sellers.
The customer service and distribution system of Panerai is....let's be polite and say flawed. PS...I love Panerai watches, and if I was offered one, I'd flip it as I don't care for this combo. Spring bars and PVD????? Good luck on frequent strap changes... PPS...I'm disappointed that the 1940 cases are spring bars (out side of 399/398 I believe)

Agree the combination of design choices seems odd for a piece tugging at historic customers. Havent seen the spring bar case, is it essentially the same as a rolex case with lugholes? If so, why do you think that would be problematic for frequent strap changes? |

I prefer pvd and dlc above ceramic
yes, ceramic might be better if you mind scratches but I just don't like the metal … it's cheap I want my watches in steel or other metal but not these exotic materials ( I HATE AP's forged carbon, if feels like a 50 bucks Swatch) And if the watches has a scratch, who cares …. it's patina :-)
