As a Mets fan that is how I feel about the Braves. I was at the last game of the 07 season. 58,000 voices bid Glavine a safe trip back to O'l Dixie as he gave up 7 runs in the first inning.

We have a winner, would you like to play again. What is your take on the US Sub with a "civilian guest" at the controls as it did a full power emergency test vertical surfacing into the middle of a Japanese "fishing boat" lurking in US waters just off Pearl Harbor? Now I personally don't see a problem with the Japanese fishing in restricted waters off "PEARL HARBOR".

I don't think they fish there anymore.

What is your take on a US cruse missile flying into the window of the Chinese Embassy in Yugoslavia at the start of the Balkan bombing. Clinton said he had old maps and thought it was a radar station. He really didn't mind China giving Serbia intelligence information from that embassy. He didn't even know it was an embassy.

Sorry about that.

Small world. My wife is a personal friend of the Subs Captian and even though his career was ruined, he is now doing very well. Small world that you would mention that incident. Not making a point, just what a small world.

Quite right BL. When my wife and I were honeymooning in Greece in '04, it was the height of the Iraq war and anti-american demonstrations in Europe. Every where we went in Greece we were treated warmly. As our cabbie told us "We love Americans...it's your politicians we hate!"

That Captain was going to retire before the unfortunate direct hit by a "civilian contractor" doing a full power emergency test surfacing. Sorry about that mail my checks to my vacation home.

Yes they love the US embassy in Serbia as I type. Ahhhh the ugly American returns. The really odd thing is we are supporting a Muslim Kosovo over a Christian Serbia.

The emergency accent was all the rage before this incident. Captain's hated to perform this maneuver for "show", and voiced their opinions up the chain of command. For the life of me I cannot make sense of your last sentence? I am getting slow in my old age. Maybe, Fort Walton Beach equals vacation home?

Being the jingoist I am. I'm proud to be an American! Proud of President Bush! Proud of what our military are doing fighting terrorist! I hate it when other Americans undermine our country.

What's a lame excuse is the "We love Americans, not the politicians." Well, many Americans believe in President Bush's policy." What about us? Puleeze. And boy do some of these foreigners revel when an American rips on his/her own country.

When impeached President Clinton was in office, I didn't hear too many: "We love Americans, hate the politicians." Seems like foreign countries love America only when our foreign policy's weak.

And when the chips are down for these foreign countries, we save them. And what do we get? a spit wad. Talk about grateful.

End of rant.

And what makes you think I was ripping on our country? I was just reporting what we experienced in a time and place where it could have been very different.

And when it comes to Bush...I'm proud too....proud to say I have never voted for a Bush and never will!

You've certainly have the right to be proud of President Bush. Just as others have a right to question his decisions and the direction of his administration without being accused of undermining America. Foreign countries tend to respect the USA when we lead by example.
I respect your strong feelings for the 43rd President and I'm glad you have strong convictions.

Why do they hate us? From my simple observation their hate is base out of fear. The fear of freedom. Spend time in any of the third world countries and you will be shocked at the lack of freedom and human rights the common person has. It is not the fault of any free nation that they are hated.
You are spot-on here, Bubba.
