Of course the GMT-IIC and the Daytona are very different watches but since both gold and the Daytona appeal to you why not look at a few samples of them. The high end Daytonas have much nicer dials. You saw a great example above. Additionally, you could get a white gold version that gives you the extra heft, beautiful dials but w/o the bling of the yellow gold.
