we're getting closer to our next meet guys.
Do let me know if you can make it or not. And if you're staying for dinner too.

Ok, now I can confirm: I'm in!
And I'll be taking part for the dinner too.

What are the suggestions for a venue?

Marvellous you can join in Christophe.

I suggest we'll meet up at the Opera Café at 19h.
That's located in the Opera House (the entrance is at the corner of the street, opposite the Palace of Justice). Easy parking in the underground carpark of the Kouter)
Options for dinner still open

Bernard if you're earlier in Ghent. I stop working at 17h, so can meet you soon after that...

Hey guys, I should be able to make it! What place will we meet at? You guys bring all your pieces? As I'm not too fond of bringing them all due to safety reasons which I'm sure you guys understand!

Stijn, would be marvellous if you could join us!

To answer your question. My personal rule, always bring two, one each wrist.
I also do that when I go to the London GTG. And yes it's more save aswell that way.

I suggest we'll meet up at the Opera Café at 19h.

Hey Geert,

Sounds like a plan: I'll be there at 17:30 (I'll shoot you a text).

Would it bother anyone if we go to dinner a bit early (let's say ~19:30)? I'm taking one of the last trains back & I wouldn't want to have to skip dessert

Just arrived home after a splendid second GTG !
Thanks Michael, Bernard, Christophe, Stijn, Tom and Maarten for the lovely time with so much watch talk that we almost forgot to eat
It was marvelous meeting you all and I am very, very sure now there will be a 3th Belgian GTG

Photographs will follow.... Christophe was appointed as the photographer with duty, little did we know that Michael would arrive with the professional material to eternalize our meeting. Thanks again guys for this enjoyable evening. I think we all made some new friends today

What an absolutely amazing evening. As a GTG virgin, I was a little nervous, but the guys were very gentle

Having spent an evening in the company of 6 Belgians, (I'm an Englishman) it just reinforced the fact that they are just as passionate about outstanding food and drink as they are about horology. I was treated to a plate of the best steak tartare in Belgium, followed by a chocolat a millieux that just oozed onto my spoon.

Thankyou Geert, for organising such an incredible evening

Pics - in no particular order:

Wow Michael those pictures turned out great! Thanks for bringing the big cam to Ghent

Being a GTG virgin as well, I must say I felt immediately felt at home among friends

Thanks Geert for setting up this GTG! Great people, great watches, great stories, great food and drinks ... I feel a 3rd GTG is a sure thing

Had a great time yesterday, guys! Awesome new friends (and some old ones, I'm looking at you Geert ;)), great food, great watches, all in all an amazing evening!

I took a couple of pictures aswel (mainly of the vintage pieces), but mine didn't turn out nearly as well as Michael's or Maarten's. Nevertheless, I'll post them later on.

I loved it yesterday! The good thing is that I met new passionate people about watches, the bad thing is that all those watches I saw drive me mad! :)

Thanks all for the great evening! So, what do we say, another one in May/June? ;) hehe

Michael, those pics turned out great! Thanks! :)

That was a really great GTG!
There's definitely going to to be a follow-up.
It's so cool to be able to discuss watches non-stop with likeminded people.
We almost forgot to go to the restaurant.
Before I post any pictures of the meeting, I noticed that there are no faces on the pictures above. Does anybody prefer to be "anonymized"?
Or don't you care? There's a nice group picture at Bouverne that would be nice to post...
Please forgive the poor quality of my pics compared to all the others, but the iPhone isn't too refined when it's too dark. The outdoor pics, on the other hand, are quite nice...

Ok, before showing anyone, let's make everyone who wasn't present jealous!
