Unless I'm going to be doing stuff that will likely include banging and clanging that could be expected to damage the softer metal, I take a lot of joy from just wearing whatever comes up next in the rotation.

If I had a choice a Deepsea or a YG GMT2 (Green) when going on a Disney cruise, what would you suggest? Do r'ber I'll be travelling all the way from Oman. That's around 20 hours of flying approximately. :)

So its my dilemma as well.

Thank you Sir Connor :) I know all this travelling will causes hairline scratches on the gold but well, like I have learned from all of you, the watch is made for you and not vice versa.

BTW I meant to ask this a while ago, what is WIS the abbreviation of?

IMO, go ahead and listen to your heart on this one. If your trip is like most, there will be a lot of pictures, and you'll smile every time you see the gold on your wrist. I doubt you'll beat and bang it much at all, just think twice about throwing your arms around too much on the coasters

We went to Disney ourselves last year in the midst of the Florida summer. I opted for something lightweight on a rubber strap (Aquanaut) more for comfort than anything else in that humidity. This time of year, it shouldn't be an issue at all. As others have said, lots of people wearing rolex at Disney.

The gold PCLs scratch if you stare hard at them
I was thinking that I could do without any dents from ride mechanisms and the like. Low probability, in retrospect. My TT had multiple visits and survived
Gold it is!!!!

I'm going to Disney next month and I am still debating what to wear. I was all set on a Casio Pathfinder, but it's huge, and I really don't think I want to wear it for four straight days. It is looking like a Breitling on rubber or the Subc... that Glidelock could come in VERY handy, as I'm hopeful for some warm weather.

I just got back from DisneyWorld last week and was surprised at how few WIS-type watches I saw in the wild. I was wearing a PAM 121 because it has the highest water resistance of my automatics (came in handy too). So even though the sample size is limited (mainly what I saw or tried to see waiting in lines), I think you can easily wear whatever you want.

As a Disney Vacation Club member, we take the family to Disney twice a year. I always bring my TT sub, works in the parks, in the pool and at the bar! If you bring the gold, be careful in the haunted house, those ghosts have been known to left fine jewelry from guests!
