Serge, it is quite the ride indeed. Well done, I say, that is one of my favorite moderns watches bar none. I know we both have a up/down relationship with the DSSD, but I'd happily give mine up for that very watch. It just puts a big fat smile on my face every time I see it! :-)

Many congrats!

I hear you Patrick. So is the DSSD ... but ultimately, this AP puts a bigger smile on my face and makes my heart beat a bit faster! That's what we are after I guess ...

I owned the 233 in my time. Another of my all time favorites I wish I could have kept. They wear very differently in my opinion. The 233 felt heavier and tended to move from the center of my wrist. It was uncomfortable after a few hours. The AP rubber strap is on a league of its own. I'd say probably the AP wears a little bigger but flows better around the wrist while the PAM feels more like a triangle (strap / head / strap if that makes any sense).YMMV.

Thanks Serg.

I need to try on a 42mm Diver for grins as well. I saw a thread by Dalip with the Diver on Bracelet. I think his wrist may have been my size - 6.5" - and it looked great.

However, I know a 15400 looks big on me...so I fear your watch may feel like a 47MM Pam.

The Diver is such a great design it fits pretty much any wrist. I think the 15400 is trickier and the 26400 wears bigger than the 15400. You don't need a huge wrist to pull it off though ... Mine is 6.75 ... But it has to be flat. Getting the XS strap helps as well.

Incoming! A True Stunner!

Good to know AP makes small straps. I have got a small Tang buckle strap for my Pam but normally wear regular size OEM deployant straps.

Indeed! I just wish I can settle down and enjoy now, at least for a while.

In fact I was thinking ... this baby wears like a bigger 15400, sort of.

Granted, I have a 7.5" wrist but I found this watch to be more comfortable than my divers. Not sure why, but this felt great with the weight more spread out.

Yeah. I love the weight. You just need to get a good fit with the strap, otherwise the crown will dig into the hand.

Ain't nothing wrong with moving the DSSD for this beauty. Hell, I moved my DSSD to help fund my Jumbo, so, trust me, I know where you're coming from. Remember, AP>Rolex. Always.

Of course, the good thing about the DSSD is that there's always another one around the corner for when you're ready to reacquire said beastie. In the meantime, however, enjoy that 44mm ROO!

Regards,
Adam

PS - It took me a couple of years, but yes, another DSSD -- with a proper Mk I dial -- is back in the Craniotes stable. Something tells me you're not gonna wait quite so long... ;-)

MK I is the way to go!! Congrats!! It'll pair nicely with that FC Diver of yours! The DSSD is my second favorite watch ... after the 44.

In my case it is going to be a long while until I add something new though ... if I want to stay married that is

Wow these pics make me wonder if I like the 42mm Panda or this version of the Panda better. That dial on the rubber strap is excellent!
