I don't have a hulk, but I do have a GV. I love it and it is highly versatile. I'd imagine the hulk to be the same, particularly if it's not your first rolex.

Haha, it was great in the summer. Maybe if I had 5 watches it might have stayed as a change up, but it didn't have a place in my small collection. I'm also not a big fan of the sub.

The Hulk will be my next watch. I own several others, so I can include the Hulk in a rotation. Keep your present watch and add the Hulk for some variety!

I certainly agree with variety, but.....

The original thread was whether to have a HULK as the only watch.

Don't get me wrong: I really do love my new HULK. But I have to admit that I would be likely to have something more versatile as my only Rolex. The HULK is really, really green. Yes, the face looks almost black in dark light. But so does my blue sub when the lights dim. So would any watch, other than perhaps a white face DJ or the like.

As an only watch, I personally would hold off if. Like someone said earlier, "dressing for green takes a little planning" I like it though, but I would supplement it with a vintage DJ or a black Sub if that is a possibility.

I think the 114060 is a little more versatile. If this is your only watch, I wouldn't do it. If you have others, go for it.

A 16610LV is my only permanent watch. I've had it for about a year and the green has become somewhat tiresome. I'll probably be ordering a black or blue bezel soon to change things up. To be honest, I have yet to see a Hulk in person, but would worry a bit about having it as an only watch because of the green. If I were to get one I'd definetly pair it with a black watch; maybe a PO or similar, or even a 16800, 5513, 14060, etc.

I like the hulk, but everytime I buy one, I don't wear it. To me, its a piece that looks better in pictures than in the flesh. Probably due to the "milky" bezel, shrug. I dont mean to scare you off, but be sure to try one on for a bit to make sure its you. Its not my favorite, but it sure has its place and the dial is splended! :-)

The hulk was my first ever rolex. It is my daily watch and no I never had a regret. When your standing and your hands are at your sides the dial is a rich black color, the change is amazing. My favorite color is green so maybe I'm biased, and I'm planning a green face GMT in the future so how's that for variety lol

Tried the hulk on this weekend in Chicago, I liked the looks of the green, like people are saying it changed color in different light.

I may have to sell either my sub LVc or, perhaps, my GMT in a year or so. So I've gone back and forth wondering which one I would possibly part with. I believe I would keep the LVc.

The LVc is in my rotation but I would gladly wear it every single day if it's my only watch.

My very first Rolex was the Green SubC. I had never seen one in person, however I knew that the dial must be amazing. I took a chance and I was correct. It simply is an amazing dial. When the sunlight hits the face it can change from a light lime green to a dark Kelly green in a blink. I have no regrets and I think you will love the watch. Good luck.

I have a DSSD that I wear at least half the time and then occasionally I'll throw on the Hulk/DDII/EXPII. I really like the SubCLV but as an "only" watch I would choose the LN. I had the LN and the LV for awhile a year or two ago now and while I really liked having both there was just no justifiable reason to have two black subs in my collection since I needed to cut down the cash invested in watches.

I agree with others that I could totally see the SubC LV or LN being an only watch but for ME it wouldn't be an lone watch. Great in my collection but that's my opinion.

There's no "green gold" in the LVc. Rolex did market "green gold" to reference the LVc for a short while but has since removed all reference to "green gold".

As much as I like color on my subs, I could not do the LVc (and I really tried) as green just isn't my color. Now blue...

I have learned in flipping that the one I flip for next is a keeper, however I end up with different likes so end up flipping again. IF you want it go for it. You can always flip!

I had the hulk as my one and only watch for 9 months. I now wear a black Sub C and couldn't be happier.

I was under the impression that they made the dial that green colour by blending different alloy's with 18k gold.?

Is this correct?

You really need to try on the Hulk in person. It is a real beauty, BUT it is VERY green. Now, that could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the person. I tried one on and liked it, but felt it would be too much color for me on a regular basis ... so, I opted for the 116610LN. I think I made the right choice as the LN is perfect for my needs. Only you can decide whether the LV will work for you. That being said, I would keep the 114060 and save up for the Hulk ... the 114060 is a classic and real beauty as well.
