The flaking is caused by rubbing on the case.
This particular strap is too thick for your watch which's dimensions are not meant to accomodate the strap. You can avoid this flaking when using slightly bent springbars - I fail to see a manufacturer's responsibility for the damage. |

nope, the flaking was at the at the end of the strap that went through the clasp that the strap maker incorporated....to thick for the clasp.....and bending spring bars? really...its all good till the strap comes undone and the watch is damaged by the fall...
btw, strap is not being damaged by the case now after my 'burnishing'.... Quote:

i bet you could make a couple anyway....the problem with amphibian skin is that its pretty thin....i would love a fish skin strap but all i see is tilapia and tilapia are really kinda trash fish...they flourish is street runoff trenches (i did a residency in fish medicine....dont ask)...shark is on the list....i think I'm going to really get into straps.....problem is with my collection (gmt, hulk, yacht master2, milgaussgv....only the gv lends itself to a strap from what i see).....
