To the OP. Beautiful and unbelievable work by a real artisan. Let's see what real cost effect actually is. Bow down to Rolex and pay 5000 dollars for a new bracelet or have MY meticulously return it to it's original condition and luster, for 1000 dollars.

You did not read their written service over view, that I provided???
So what you are saying is that if Rolex says " IN Print" on their website, that it should all be taken with a grain of salt? They are lying, They are stretching the truth, no one believes this stuff from Rolex, they can do and say whatever they want ?
If the watch comes back gaining 40 seconds a day, can they just say " Oh its not cost effective, that as close as the time provided would allow??" So we dropped that from or service agreement, even though we claim to do it. There are ten steps to a Rolex service repair overview, so what you are saying is that they really don't have to honor any of those steps if they find that it is not cost effective. Other people in my camp seems to believe very differently.
Your argument makes for very thin soup

I'm going to assume you are a bit upset about this?

Ass u me ? you know what they say about assume. ?? well may be you don't.. I wont elaborate.
No I am not even a little upset. Ive been on forums since the early 90's. I know there are all types of people with all types of opinions. I have nothing better to do because Of my health but to hang out on these forums. There is a lot of good information to be taken from these forums. Not everyone's opinion holds any logical or legal or ethical credibility, However Rolex's printed overview is something that can be and is being the evidence to hold them accountable.
IM actually having fun in this forum.
I mean you no disrespect, but your arguments are not legally credible. If I don't get my bracelet back meticulously repaired and finished to its original luster ,as they claim, then they did not deliver what they claimed. At this moment they are being held responsible for their printed overview.

Well Bill I wish you good luck in your quest to have Rolex do as you claim they say, and short of that I hope your pending lawsuit will be time and money well spent.

I sent my watch in for service, I've done this four other times over 30 years, always got the bracelet back looking like new. in 2007 I was forced by Rolex to buy a new bracelet or send then 46 dollars for the estimate and return shipping and without being repaired. I gave in because life was much more of a rat race then than it is now. I sent my watch into RSCNY for service in January this year, and 1100 dollars later is came back looking in worse shape than when I sent it. they didn't touch the bracelet other than to give it more scratches then when I sent it in.. I called RSC NY and they said the 6 year old bracelet was beyond repair. I posted pictures here of the before shots, and the after I got it back shots.
When I called RSC NY they didn't want to do anything for me other than sell me a new bracelet, they also told me my watch needed 5700 dollars worth of additional repairs. Ive shown the estimate of necessary work and the estimate of recommended work, they wanted to replace everything but the movement.

I don't know why should Rolex repair old bracelets, sure it's possible but every industry today just replaces parts instead of repairing them (think about your car, computer...).

when they tell you they are going to repair it, then if you are not a pussycat with out the cat then you hold them to their words. Obviously they just didn't give me back 250 dollars for nothing, They promised a full package repair and didn't deliver it.
Think about a car computer??? you are playing in my sandbox now. If your PCM is damaged they take your old one in trade and give you a repaired unit. If anyone of the seven computer modules on my Corvette goes bad, I get a repaired unit or pay an unbelievable price for a new one, the repaired unit has the same one year warrantee as a new one. A new OEM water pump on a Corvette cost 569 dollars, just the part. A fully guaranteed factory rebuilt water pump is 160 dollars, with the same warrantee as a new one. If the dealer had the means to repair the unit at the dealership they would. When you take your car in for a tune up and it says, for 350 dollars we will give you new plugs and new wires, and clean and refresh and repair the fuel injectors, set new fuel trims and a PCM reflash or adjustment , replace the air filter and you spend 350 dollars and when you get home you notice that the plug wires were not changed. Same deal. Wires are 60 dollars, if you don't get them , the shop owns you 60 dollars

Adding some info here on my experience with M.Y.

I sent my bracelet to Michael on Feb 18th from S. E. Pennsylvania ( cost 51.20 via USPS )

He received it in Hong Kong on Feb 25th ( seven days in transit via USPS )

He just emailed me it is done on March 6th ( 9 days to get to it and restore it ) and to send payment via PayPal

He just told me he has increased his workforce to handle the ever increasing work load. ( he even made a joke about the quick turn around.)

I expect to get it in a week or less. ( so from door to door about three weeks. )

I Will show photos when I receive the bracelet
I promised to keep people updated.

Wow, that's great to hear! Look forward to seeing it. I had sent mine in early November...it was worth the wait.

And you are looking only at the professional side of MY.

On the personal side, let me tell you my experience: The first bracelet I sent him, a TT jubilee, was missing two links when it came back. He didnīt argue with me a single word, but asked me to wait and see if he could find those or other pair in his "odds and ends box" (his exact words). One week later he gave up and sent me two removable links from his own bracelet.

Right now he is working on the bracelet of another of my watches, of course...

Great band restoration but even better story how your Grandfather gave it to you. I think I would give it back in a heartbeat though if your Grandpa shows any longing for it. Guess it would be like Bilbo Baggins in Lord of the rings with "Precious".

Just some added input. Yesterday Michael notified me that my bracelet was done. 3/6/2014
I sent it on 2/18/2014 17 days total
This morning 3/7 Michael sent me tracking, and at this moment its " IN the air " heading to me with a promised delivery on Mon 3/10/2014 before 10:00 AM.
So put in the mail 2/18, returned to me on 3/10, a total of 20 days round trip
2 weeks /6 days.... 16,200 miles. 38 hours in the air.

Photos to follow
