Which one should I keep?
Tough call. I like the stick dial but I also prefer the tachy bezel. Coin flip!

Thanks for the input and I'm leaning on keeping the 79170. The bezel is more useful and it has more of the Rolex DNA.

Voted to keep the 79170 as the timezone bezel is much more useful than a tachymeter.
BUT... perhaps keep the non-block if you're considering moving the funds towards a THC as is has a dual TZ bezel. |

Tommy the 79170 is a fantastic watch and much more collectible, the tiger chrono is easier to get and you know my affection towards big blocks so I voted for the big block.

I like the stick dial of option 1, but the tachymeter of option 2...
Tough call, but I'd go option 1. |

I agree. The 79170 Big Block is worth about double that of the 79260, and I would anticipate it to have the better investment potential if that is a factor. If was for me, and when I was looking for a Tudor chrono I settled on the 79170.

I think the "OysterDate" designation on the dial, Rolex coronet on the crown, and "Rolex" labeling on the case back are big pluses for the 79170. OTOH, if you plan on keeping the selected watch until death do you part I would sell the Big Block, as you'll get more money for it and the 79260 is probably more comfortable to wear since it is not as deep and heavy. IIRC the movement is the same (Valjoux 7750), so as a timepiece it is just as good.

No question that #1 will be more collectible over the long term, and I like it better. The bezel, the bracelet, the dial.
