Gotta have a date
I do paperwork with customers that have to be dated
I sometime have to look at my sub 2 or 3 times to check the date on the same document

No date. Just because I hate opening the crown to adjust the date every few months. Less tinkering, less complication, less chance of "screwing" the watch. Pun intended.

And, I love the clean, balance look and symmetry of a No date.

i will almost always take a date option over a non unless the model doesn't offer it.

I like to wear the ND to work cause I believe it can fly under the radar so I got used to look at the calendar on my desk.

In my years flipping and collecting watches, I tend to wear watches with a date complication more than I wear the ones without. When I had a 14060, I only wore it occasionally. Now that I have a 116610 I wear it more than my other watches.

I love the date function, but prefer the clean look of no date. Not sure where that puts me?

The Cyclops ruins the watch. Signature of rolex or not. Its an abomination.

Date with no Cyclops is perfect.

otherwise its no date for me.

I do use it occasionally but if it wasn't there I'd probably not miss it much.

That being said, to me the cyclops is part of the Rolex look, so I do prefer the date function...

Wow, totally disagree with this. I love the cyclops. It's part of the annatomy of Rolex and it is actually useful. Nothing says Rolex more than the cyclops date window

I go either way, how ever, wearing a no date after wearing a date for 10 years is really nice. No date sets you FREE. :)

I would rather have no date on every watch I own...but if I like the watch enough I settle for the date.

Guess it all depends on what you already own. I have 2 that have the date but I think my next will be a 114060.

If a piece I like has a date, then I buy it and wear it and I have the advantage of the date complication.

The thing is that whereas I got spoiled by having the date on the watches I owned for 35 years, when I bought my Explorer, I found that I didn't really need a date on my watch.

The weird part is that when I bought my Explorer, it didn't really occur to me that there was no date until later and when I did realize it, I didn't care.

Then I bought my DJ and while the date was handy, the date was not the feature that drew me to it so much. It was the dial and the Super Jubilee bracelet that made it so appealing.

So, there is no blanket answer for me. My 14060M is the watch I wear the most and it doesn't have a date and nothing could ever make me exchange it for a 116610.

As far as I'm concerned, Submariners don't have dates. Explorers don't have dates. DJs have dates. GMTs have dates and that's the natural order of things.
Exactly.

Most watches I have or had have had the date, my airking is no date love the clean dial, I look at the date in the morning on my phone and I can remember the rest of the day, and at my job I'm constantly signing and dating legal documents, both are great!

I NEED the date, if I don't have the date on my watch, I always end-up asking the cashier or whoever else for the date. Some people know the date from day to day, I'm just not one of them!

Date, please.

Found myself looking for the date of my 14060m on weekends which was annoying.

Not a huge fan of the cyclops, but a crystal swap can easily remedy that.
