"Very few" means about 25,000 but there are also very few people who collect Rolex quartz watches (and I say this an an OysterQuartz owner myself). Probably your best bet is to sell it now if you want to make money on it, as servicing can be expensive and turn up all kinds of trouble with the quartz movement. But you need to get a correct dial on there before anyone will buy it, IMO.

Well what have you done with your oyster quartz? Do you still wear it?... I don't know about selling, would rather keep it as a memory, and maybe even use it sometime in the future, but for now its too old school for me

Sure, I wear mine often. OQ is one of the smartest looking Rolexes out there. You should keep it...maybe try and find the original dial or buy a new one. If you get it serviced, RSC will sell you one, and new matching hands. Mine is about 1977, with the Mark I dial.
