Some traditionalists, including the GQ style guy columnist, would maintain that any 40mm sports watch is inappropriate with a suit.

Personally, I think that style rule is passe, and a sub or a GMT is appropriate. I wear my GMT daily with a suit. I probably would not wear it with a tuxedo.

The SDDS looks significantly larger, and that extra size may really start to look inappropriate with business dress. I think it's a very pretty watch, and it goes to the top of my list above the Sub or Daytona if I ever get a second Rolex, while the old Sea Dweller was below both. But I've got no immediate plans for a second watch, and if I drop that kind of scratch on another watch, it probably won't be a second Rolex.

In regard to Panerai comparisons, I really dislike the way the PAMs look.
