I bought myself a Guess watch when I was 13. It was around $100 bucks, & I wore it everywhere. When I turned 30 I got my first mechanical watch- an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. Here we are two years later, and I have 5 mechanical watches, including two Rolex. My first was a 16750 matte dial Pepsi, and I just got a 5513 Maxi V last week. Took me 30 years to get my first good watch and now I've been on a tear! Funny how that works.

1st = A Casio of some sort (When I was a kid)
1st Good = Oris TT1 or Omega Speedmaster Professional "Moonwatch" (Sold the Omega to help fund the Rolex) 1st Rolex = Explorer 214270 - Now I know the quality and history of Rolex, I doubt I'll ever consider another brand... |

1. I believe it was a casio digital/ Nintendo game watch (so much awesomeness!)
2. Montblanc Sports Chronograph 3. Explorer II black dial. There's no better watch than a Rolex. Incredibly reliable and attractive. Prices have grown significantly though. |

First was a Casio digital with calculator. I found it by the creek in my grandparents backyard. Then I became hot stuff as I saved my allowance and bought a Timex ironman indiglow. Both got busted up sword fighting with sticks and baseball bats and ended up being used for target practice.
I do also remember my first mechanical watch. I bought it at the flea market in wilkesboro NC for$50 bucks when I was 13. It worked well and i cherished it for all of 3 months when my father decided to beat me one afternoon by the lake for letting him run out of booze and it came off in the fight and resides at the bottom of the lake. First 'real' watch was a Roamer Mustang mum and dad gave me for my 21st in 1969.
First Rolex was '71 DateJust. I still have both. The Roamer still keeps good time. The DJ runs a bit fast.
