Wills... Don't be stupid. Your money is going to get caught up in PayPal ville for a month or longer. The pics were stolen, there is no watch. You'll get an empty box and someone fighting to keep your hard earned money.

If he pretends to be in Germany - ask him for his phone number and I'll call him up for you.
I am curious why he's located here in germany but does not ship locally.

Watching closely. Deals do happen but I dont think this good. I advise you to open it right in front of the mailman or carrier. He or she can ship you a box without anything in it and it will look like it made it to your house by the tracking. Then it just comes down to your word against his.

Looks to be the same watch as this. all but the closer cropped photos on eBay where the watermarks are gone.
Also the same picks mentioned earlier but at a different site so different poses, same watch.

http://www.watch2watches.com/en-GB/R...Eye/13406.aspx

Not looking good so far, I contacted seller to ask if it is still available.

I'm waiting for the OP to update us. He did say he was in touch with the seller. I'm hoping the tracking information is looking good. Fingers crossed.

I purchased a Rolex GMT bezel off what looked to be a decent lower level feedback rating, with only slight account activity. there was just a single contact right away before I sent the money. after that nothing for two weeks when I got a message about 'sorry family died had to travel' then nothing else. I got my money back from eBay buyer protection, but never found out the story, I assume someone's old eBay account that was hijacked.
they seems to want to keep the conversations short because they barely speak engrish.

Ah, there it is, so stolen photos and most likely a scam then.

Isn't it possible to invalidate a sale after the fact too? Reporting the auction with a link to the original pictures should do it.

it cracks me up how many ebay haters are on here.

Esp. when if you look at the VRF serial number reference, most of the purchases came from ebay.

And that most of the trusted sellers on the board also sell on eBay (under different names).

The watch is beautiful - I hope the transaction works out well for you.

I assume you just missed the post with a link to the original images that were stolen and cropped for this specific ebay auction.

Here you have it again, notice that it is the exact same pictures of the watch but with the watermark cropped out:

http://www.watch2watches.com/en-GB/R...Eye/13406.aspx

This could be a case where someone very recently bought the watch from Bachmann & Scher and is selling it using the original pictures. I doubt it however...

Sorry to say, but Fredrik is right. The images were copied from B&S.
Just look at the missing lume in the 24h-hand. That is the same watch.

And there is more evidence. The seller mentions a "Code A1706" in the Ebay-listing.
Just look at the watches on the Bachmann & Scher website. Each watch over there has a Code starting with A...

Probably a hacked Ebay-account.

Good luck to Wills getting his money back.

I'm just confused why OP would even risk the money after the multiple warnings.

GREED and the desire to get an unbelievable deal, be the talk of the boards for the balls and "barn find".

In the end this is a scam and to the OP....

If a box does get shipped, make sure you videotape the entire transaction from the second you open the door until you cut open the box to show paypal, without cuts or edits, exactly what if anything was shipped.

From TRUSTED eBay sellers

There are plenty of good deals to be had on EBay but rarely with a desirable Rolex.

I wonder who actually pays after putting in a claim against ebay? I am going to assume the scammer pulls the money out as soon as its deposited so does eBay have to pay? or do you only get reimbursed if they can grab the money back out of the bank account??
