Hi Rick!!! h
Nice to meet you! My favorite TV show of all times is the Beverly Hillbillies. I love the perfect, flawless naiveté of the show and of America in the early 1960s. Clean-cut, down-home. I also love the Architecture of the Estate they live in. Granny washing the clothes in the Cement Pond. Quote:

Bad taste in women, great taste in watches. I love his Newman and mint 1655s.
Did you folks know that George Foreman is a huge IWC collector? He has over a dozen different Portuguese models.

He is a talented artist. A girl I was dating about 5 years ago turned me onto him and we saw him here in Richmond at an outdoor concert. As Jake says there is a reason he is pictured with B.B King and Clapton. The guy can make a guitar talk and he ain't a bad singer either. The ladies do love him. Must be the Rolexes.

Dude!!! I know.
It was kinda weird writing and researching this thread, because I am not a starstruck kind of guy and I don't mean to invade John's privacy. I actually think John is a kindred spirit with us and I was shocked watching that video with him talking about the YG OJ sub with nipple indices. John seems to be more astute than most people on this forum. I hope that one day he will join the forum and share his insight as we all do. I think he would like it. Personally I feel like I was out in the Rolex dessert dying of thirst for 25 years and then I wandered into this lush Oasis called the RolexForums.com. Basically wherever the Rolex trade-winds carry me I go. I am thinking about creating a Thread just for pics of famous people wearing their watches because I think it is highly inspirational and historically cool. I also think it would be nice to have one long thread of pics.

John Mayer is a fantastic guitar player. I would compare him to Clapton and SRV, that's where his roots are. And yes, he is that good! But is not that well known for some reason. He has a "different" way of singing, I would liken it to John Anderson of '80s Country fame. It all comes together for a great package of music. Anyway, think about the dail again. If it is a fake dial, he probably had it made just to be original. If I could get my hands on a Daytona, I would love to have one with "his" dial. If Rolex didn't make it, then they sure as heck should have! Oh well, for now, I am still trading up. Just picked up an '05 SS Sub thanks to a nice winfall on a RootBeer GMT. Thanks W. Jones

I am going to pitch Rolex on making my Dream Daytona Dials and hands, but if they are not interested, I am more than likely going to have them made. That way you can have your Dream Daytona.
If you want to learn more about the Daytona Dial Design project I am working on goto: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...=dream+daytona Quote:

Anyone know where I can buy the alligator watch strap that John Mayer has? Looks like it would go great with my sea-dweller.

er, as supercars go, I wouldn't say this is the Rolex of them all.
and what kind of a chucklehead would drive around in a "Heritage, blue" (which on this car is the Gulf race colors from the '60s)? McQueen would never pull that shit. Or Newman. [QUOTE=jake;554405]John Mayer's Best List Best Car “Ford GT Heritage, blue.” |

I was at the chiropractor today, laying on the electrical shock table when a John Mayer song came on.
Unfortunately the machine has a safety feature that prevented me from ending my misery. |

PS Mayer also has a PVD-coated Sea-dweller, maybe done by the Pro-Hunter outfit. Not my cup of tea - both his music and the PVD treatment - but there you go, diff'rent strokes... |

I often listen to John Mayer. One of my favorites is the song "neon". Digging this dudes style.
