I actually have one on order with my local AD but I keep getting offered them from other dealers, mostly with asian papers. Nothing wrong with that, but if I'm paying the same value I'm waiting for the one from my AD. I didn't like the 5990 when it was first announced and now I love it. I got the rose gold bug for awhile but honestly my heart is with Patek, so I know I'll eventually trade out of every Rolex I have for something Patek.

They say many Patek owners come full circle back to Rolex, but there's a certain level of emotion I cannot explain when I strap on one of my Patek's that I don't feel with any Rolex I've ever acquired. I still remember the feeling when I bought my first Rolex because I didn't know there was any better, but now that Patek is in my arsenal it's so hard to want to wear anything else. Thanks partially to Ken for this addiction! His pictures have inspired me and lightened my wallet quite a bit.

Happy New Year to all. I wish you nothing but success, health and happiness!!
Glad I helped enable Brian! Happy New Year!!

Because you have a RG daytona I think you should do it. To me black dial 5726 on strap is completely different watch than 5726/1a white. It's not getting much wrist time and you add a new piece to your collection. You get incoming excitement, new piece excitement, another ac Patek this time with classic genta bracelet. And you're giving up an easily replaceable watch that doesn't get much wrist time... I'll wait for the incoming thread

Brian by the way I think if you give up the RG SkyD do it for Patek 5980/1R. That way you go from one full RG Rolex to a full RG Patek. Just another thought...Cheers,

I agree with you Ken. Just one person's (tongue in cheek) view.

Yeah I'm not saying I agree with the article at all but that's exactly where I think I first read it.
