My impressions from seeing them in person was a dress watch looking dial with a thick ass case... Case thickness has been my issue with every Tudor watch I have looked at in person.

Ouch! These watches are getting torn to shreds in that Hodinkee article (puff piece, advertorial, call it what you will) comments section right now.

I would really like these, if it weren't for the date window ruining the dial. Looks like they just cut a hole in the dial, stuck in a date wheel and called it a day.

I agree with comments that Seiko has some compelling similar watches for 2k less

Looks nice in photos, I wonder if they look nice in the flesh. I've seen watches before that looks great in the photo but looks boring in the flesh.

Pretty much. For the price, one could get a Grand Seiko of superior quality.

For about 1/5 of the price, one could get a Seiko Presage or SARB (even cheaper) of similar quality.

I see the Tudor Style as trying to compete with the AT. I'd like to get an Aqua Terra but have been waiting to see this one first.

Adam, it seems to me these have been in stores for a long time, no?

I have to admit I haven't noticed, Jake. I don't follow the "Style" and "Glamour" lines at all.

It looks like a Grand Seiko with a Speedmaster bracelet to me.

These were introduced sometime last year.

I like the watch and I especially like the fact that Tudor offers it in four sizes.

I could see myself wearing either the 34mm or the 38mm.

Given the watch's vintage styling cues, it might actually look best in 34mm.

Yeah, I'm not really seeing any vintage styling at all. Definitely in the Seiko camp on this one.

It reminds me of the Chinese-made Ralph Lauren Barbour jacket knockoffs that cost more than the real thing, weren't as well made, and didn't look as good. They were still popular because people wanted the branding. (They weren't sold by one of the higher RL lines; more the mall stuff.)

People will similarly buy these for the "Swiss Made".

I wonder why Tudor didn't go the Heritage route and revisit some of the less sporty styles Rolex used to make decades ago, like the complete calendar watches. There would be a pretty immediate market for those, I expect.

Let's just call it classic styling.

Meh....

As far as I am concerned the only Tudors to buy are vintage Tudor Submariner Divers.

The new heritage chrono, black bay, ranger and Pelagos are nice but everything else is meh...

I think Rolex is letting their mad designers go a little too unhinged on the Tudor Side of the house.
