5711 only choice, best water resistance.
But my first choice would be a rolex explorer II Black or White / new or old you decide.

Since you have other watches, why not the RO PC for the restaurant visits and dressier events, and one of your rolexes for the other activities just for this trip?

I know this isn't a real option for the OP, but I wore my (now gone, and terribly missed) Explorer II for my trip to Finland last year and it was really great. Wears really comfortably and low profile enough to fit under all the jackets/layers etc. Most of the time i didn't even notice it was there, and kept perfect time. In contrast, I had quite an uncomfortable time with my IWC 3717 which proved to be a little uncomfortable after a few days in Norway under all those layers. You need something thats going to be comfortable for you when moving around alot, since its not terribly easy to adjust the watch under all those layers if its moved to an awkward position. To the OP, Pick something comfortable with decent water resistance! |

In your situation, I guess I would take the 15202, but for me, I wouldn't want to risk those activities on any of those beauties. I have a submariner that I always take for snowmobiling. The AP stays at home ;)

I do not have a shortage of Submariners.
However, I still took with me 5711 and it managed well the snow mobile safari, ice fishing, swimming in icy water after sauna, etc. It's a wonderful watch! Best, Kari |
