Thanks for the congrats guys!

I checked the timekeeping with watchtracker app, after wearing it for 12 hours and having on the winder for about 15 hours. It lost -3.3 seconds in the first 1.2 days, for an avg of -2.8 seconds lost per day.

I really want the watch to gain slightly, not lose, so I'll wear it and keep it off the winder and see what it does, and then maybe time it in a few different positions.

Does the Rolex need to break in a little to settle down, and if so for how long?

Thanks!

Congrats on the great acquisition! I had to give up my Skyfall Aqua Terra as well to acquire a Rolex, but the trade off is quite worth it.. Especially for the BLNR!

Wear it in good health sir

Thanks guys! I've been wearing it for the past three days, day and night, and checking the time keeping once a day.

It seems to be breaking in, and while it lost -2.8 sec/day the first day, it ran -1.2 sec/day the second day, and on the third day it ran +1.5 sec/day average. Hoping it's settled in there and stays that way.

I swapped it onto a Hirsch Heavy Calf blue waterproof leather strap until my RubberB arrives next week, to preserve the bracelet, but it looks better on the bracelet. Hoping I don't regret dropping the cash on the RubberB, but I'm ready to put the bracelet back on. Here is a photo.

Also, I'm curious about the warranty, just in case - the warranty card shows that I bought it from an AD in Singapore on 3/6/15, with my name on the card. Will I have to send it to Switzerland for service if I have a problem with it, or will Rolex RSC in Dallas accept it with my name on a valid international warranty card?

Definitely worth it.

PS: I got rid of the Skyfall Aqua Terra first, and traded the other two Omegas which were recently serviced. Someone can get a good deal from DavidSW on my two trades. And I still have 9 Omegas (two or three of which are redundant and could go quickly if I needed cash fast).

I've swapped it over to a RubberB strap with a blue stripe today. I do wish that the strap had more blue on it, so I might add an all blue strap later (Everest maybe).

It's lost less than 5 seconds in 5 days, although I'd prefer it to be slightly fast not slightly slow. As it is, I can set it a minute ahead of atomic time and then 4 months later it will only be a minute behind.

Well, I went back to the AD to install the bracelet and size it, and while at the AD I ended up with with more than I bargained for...

They also adjusted the BLNR rate but took it from -1 sec/day to +4.5 sec/day. All I asked was to add about 2 seconds to whatever it was running before, and he added almost 6. Sigh...

Loving this watch!

About 2.5 days ago I had the BLNR adjusted at the Rolex AD once more, and now it's running almost +/-0 sec/day average on the wrist. I haven't taken it off day or night yet, and it gains slightly during the day and loses it back at night while I sleep.

I've only lost -0.3 seconds in 2.5 days, which would be about -4 to -5 seconds a month, on average. I have other watches that lose or gain that much in a day.

My AD says that the timegrapher shows it's about +3 seconds in all positions except with crown right or crown up, where it will lose about that much. With the way I keep my arms when I sleep, I can see how it would lose time at night.

Wow! You are wearing your BLNR 24 hours per day (including the time when you are taking a shower?). By the way, how do you keep your arms in an appropriate position without moving when you sleep?

Nevertheless, you have made your baby behaving itself perfectly. Congrats!

No, I take it off for 10 minutes to shower, silly. (the other response could have been that I don't shower)

Somehow, when I sleep I must be tucking my hand under my chin when I lay on my left side (= crown up) or leaving my left arm straight when laying on my right side (= crown right), because those are the only two positions where the watch loses any time. It's not under my control.

During the day I usually have the crown down when walking, or crown left when driving, or face up when watching TV, etc, and those positions cause it to gain slightly.

Therefore, without trying to make it so, the watch seems to gain about 1 second during the day, and the loses a similar amount during the night when I sleep, so it's averaging about +0.1 second per day for the past 3 days...

After 4.3 days days on the wrist 24/7 (except for showering) the BLNR has only lost -0.1 second. Unbelievable!
