The only similarities this watch has with the "smurf" is the color.... Not even close to I wish I had a smurf watch... Can't wait to see it

I think we have had an infiltration cuz these posts don't sound like the Tom I know...

Let's do a FoF verification- at what racetrack did we last meet?

Well, the Blue Pelagos has 24 hours longer power reserve, and is rated to 200m deeper than the Smurf.

You are right Paul and I apologize to you, Adam, John and the rest my comment in retrospect did sound stupid and I did not mean the way it was taken

Last few posts were me trying to joke around but tough to do on the internet so again no offense meant and sorry guys for the stupid comment comparing the smurf to this watch

Both great watches in their own right

No offense taken - we just had an interloper hijack some threads. Got banned and then reappeared as @@@@@@@@@@@.

So was worried same guy had hijacked your ID.

The more I look at this watch the more boxes it ticks for me that a white gold or TT sub simply won't. Even at full MSRP it lands in a price point that I don't mind giving it some serious wear and tear. Should be nice and light as well. Thinking it's going to be a great vacation and weekend diving watch. Each tool has a job :)

So can you polish titanium or not? Let's say if you got a scratch and wanted to remove it

Yep. I just gave one of my employees a titanium watch I've had for about 9 years. Polished out the center links and bezel(Not a Rolex obviously) and refinished the brushed areas with a brushing pad. No issue and looks almost like the day I bought it.

I would love to know how to polish titanium. I have a scratched up polished Titanium Tissot T-Touch that I would like to un-scratch and gift to someone.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies for thread hi-jack, but then this one was headed south a few posts ago

Love the overall design and style but the details, i.e. the essay on the dial is a killer for me.

I don't mind that. I wish it were centered on the lower part of the dial.

Yes it's too low, touching the 6 marker nearly. They should have removed the "Officially Certified" line to make it fit better.

Kind of looks like the blue on the WG BLRO bezel (almost a hint of purple) in that pic.
