That's badass. I did the Tough Mudder last year, but wore my Garmin instead of my Sub. I have done a smaller mud run with the Sub. It's fun!
P.S. The electro-shock part was the most unnerving part for me. |

To be totally honest, I kinda underestimated the event. Last year, I did a shorter run called "Mud Hero", and at only 6km, I actually found it almost 'too easy'. So this year, I didn't train as hard and the extra duration just took it's toll on me. I was fighting dehydration and leg cramps after about 10-12k, or 4 hours - which of course is where they seemed to stack the obstacles. After reaching the top of a wall towards the end, I saw a girl on the other side, on a stretcher with neck brace being tended to by the medics. I hope she's all right... Sorry for the not-great photos. We just had friend who took only a few shots with his cell phone. "Arctic Enema" - kinda says it all, eh? ![]() I can't believe I paid for this... ;) ![]() ![]() The team is already thinking of doing it again next time. But I learned a humble lesson and I need to be better prepared, particularly with the hydration and nutrition before hand. ![]() |

haha. That's terrific! Congrats on making it to the finish. I read about stinging nettle at TM some years back, that's probably the most painful part.

Thanks guys!
Actually, in my first post, the pic of the watch on the TM towel (with the bracelet on) was shortly after a wash with hand soap, dried off with a microfiber towel. The NATO strap cleaned up easily too. (Just soaked in warm soapy water for a few minutes, rinse and let it air dry) But what the heck, I could always could use more practice ;) ![]() ![]() Cleans up pretty good enough for me. All things considered, not bad for a 16 year old daily wearer :) |
