And love that red-sweep/subdial hands WG panda of yours. It's the only version I'd flip my current 116509 for.

To be fair, I think you should separate Seadweller from Submariner in this poll as others have said.
Not a fair fight the way the poll is set up. My vote is for Submariner not Seadwellers... |

The maximum amount of options in a poll is 10 so I had little choice but to merge certain models

I have a friend who's love (or even like) of Rolex begins and ends with his YM 2. It's his favorite watch of any brand yet according to him Rolexes are either 1) "meh" or 2) over-priced garbage. The YM 2, however, makes him wobbly-kneed and heart palpitates to the point you think you have to run grab the nearest AED in case the swooning turns into something more critical. If someone gifted him a YG model, I'm pretty sure he'd just die of ecstasy on the spot.
I'm not sure if that makes it a niche watch, or him a niche guy. Perhaps both, it's a funny hobby. |

Pretty sure 80% of the sub/SD/DSSD votes would of been for the sub. It would of been a lot more interesting to separate them all

Yeah, every other "Incoming!!!!" here on this forum is a Sub or GMT, but the appearance is merely a sign of enthusiasm and perhaps a link between certain types of watches and the propensity to show off something one has acquired or need for affirmation from fellow enthusiasts, but that's about it. The people here, myself included, do not represent a reliable cross-section or the opinions of the larger Rolex-buying world. Millions upon millions upon millions buy and/or own Rolexes. The few hundreds of people on here that answer a poll question like this are the very tiniest fraction of owners, and most importantly, don't represent anything like a random sampling. The ones here are really, REALLY into their Subs or GMTs or Daytonas etc, and only those who had the inclination to actually sit down, find a Forum like this to join in order to express it. Any poll here is a snapshot of the thinnest slice of Rolex owners imaginable, and only of those who make it a determined point to jump into the picture, self-chosen on a few different levels. In the grand scheme of things, almost nobody does this. Most Rolex owners aren't even aware of TRF's existence. Most who do, would think it's a waste of time because most people in the world don't join any kind of internet forum, not even for things they are into. Most who do join don't maintain the levels of enthusiasm necessary to keep participating over long periods of time. The ones who can't be bothered or don't have the time anymore move on, the excited and enthused chime in. The vast majority of Rolex owners wear their watches and don't make them a point of conversation at every opportunity, if ever, because they don't go around thinking about them all day. At the other end of the spectrum you have this forum, it's creation and existence designed to do the opposite. It's almost always a mistake to imagine what fanatics think is the norm simply because they are the most vocal, repetitive, or peacocking/cheerleading. That includes watch/Brand fanatics (yes I include myself), and their combined "voice" through an internet poll is highly unreliable because internet forums are notorious for containing all the aforementioned fanatical attributes even while remaining polite. Fun though it is to participate in, it's self-selected nature automatically renders results skewed and therefore useless for extrapolation outside it's own bounds. TRF is an example of an internet forum, not a microcosm of any larger world. |

I really like the DD/DD40/DDII lineup, but I think I like the Daytona a tad more. Especially if I was only allowed to shop one lineup.
Daytona can be bought in every different type of metal, and with a variety of bezel and dial options.
