Very talented artist but would prefer his work on a different "canvas".

There are folks who'll like these I'm certain; likely some of the same who like and perform the ink. Not my taste but it doesn't need to be.

Cool alternative...

It's just that, an alternative from the rest...not for everyone but good to see an artist experiment and push some boundaries...

Art is very subjective and at times polarizing as seems the case here...but, while it is not everyone's cup of proverbial tea...as one who appreciates all kind of art I don't think it is an "abomination" or anything perceived as negative...it is just different, unique and interesting...

Badass. Terrible resale value, but I love it. I'd buy one secondhand for a cool $3k any day of the week, since that's about all they're gonna be worth.

Beautiful craftsmanship--very high quality hand engraving. Seems like it's getting harder to find such beautiful hand engravings. However, an engraved Rolex probably isn't for everyone.

I posted a thread about this artist before. I'm hugely impressed with what he does and I think the Explorer looks amazing! I don't know whether it would suit me, but I'd love to wear one, in any case.

I think some of them look pretty cool! I would definitely wear one if it were given to me but if I'm the one shelling out the $$$ then I want original.

The Explorer works, the rest, imo don't. My guess, is that these may appeal more to somebody who has never considered a Rolex before. If I wanted to personalize my Rolex, I'd go down the engraved caseback maybe, or switch it to a leather, or nato strap, but each to their own.

Very well said. To me. cool to look at but not to buy or wear.

"Craftsmanship is pretty good"? Sheesh. Looks fantastic to me.
I'd never want one but I don't see a thing wrong with this, in fact I quite like them. Thanks for posting.

Maybe the Batman Giveaway should have the engraving done in the back by this guy.
