Thanks, I never would have noticed if not for this thread. When I acquired my Sub, I only knew it was an iconic model within the Rolex line. I didn't even know about the Sub vs Sub Date, never mind subtle differences in the dial fonts.

But seems like in some instances they get it spot on!
Small "ft" perfect aligned "=" and a "1" instead of a " l "
This is new with plastics from a trusted seller.

The one on the left would be my choice.

It would bug me.
I might have, eventually picked up on that but maybe not... now that it's been pointed out I agree it also bother me and the left dial looks "cleaner"!

I have the long f on a random serial purchased in 2012. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...=222949&page=2 Tho, I found a fourth variation where the = sign is not centered and closer to the ft sign.

From more than two feet away, who's going to notice? Far too OCD for me.

The one on the left cause its evenly spaced and i like the long "ft". Having said that, I don't even know which style my SubC has cause i cant see it with my naked eyes and i really dont care.

Have to agree and I am 100% sure if most did not read about it on forums 98% would not even notice it.Trouble today with loupe mania tethered with OCD about the slightest minuscule font or space change it starts to take the enjoyment out of wearing the watch. With some thinking mine is different to what I have seen pictures on the net.But truth be told over the past 50 years there has been tiny differences on most all Rolex dials. But that was when people just bought a Rolex watch and not OCD about a font or font space..

Hmmmm... it seems like there is a difference in the font, and I prefer the right one. But then I went back and looked again at the spacing for the depth, and as others noted, it is incorrect with the extra space between "300" and "m". Does it bother me? Yes. Would it have bothered me if I had not noticed it (which I hadn't) before someone pointed it out? No.

So there you go. I like them both.

You know what, OP? It doesn't matter what we think. Only what you think.

I'm going with the one on the left. That spacing does bother me on the right. The longer ft has grown on me. I actually liked the one on the right originally, but made the switch.

I wish the "0" was more oval instead of looking like an "O", but I'm sure I'll love it.

This may interest you... my 2012 on the left, a brand new 2015 from an AD on the right. They have exactly the same fonts and spacing.
