Paul and Rock, you've made me smile !

It's 530 am here on Christmas morning and I am going to take a long walk and look at how sleepy my usually bustling inner city neighbourhood is. Almost everywhere will be closed and it's the ONLY day of the year when that happens. Unmissable.
I'll be wearing my polar ExpII to make it an even better morning!
Have a great day everyone .

Having worked in the service industry for most of my life, from a men’s clothing store while in college to a five star hotel to being a police officer; I try to extend a little extra kindness and support to all those folks that wait on us in stores and restaurants during the season.

I find it doesn’t cost me a thing, and a smile and a kind word towards those that are harried in their work; appears appreciated by them. Also it’s nice to know that you’re not going to be the asshat they talk about to their significant other at the end of their shift.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to everyone, but it is difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my lawyer this morning and on her advice I wish to say the following :

Please accept, with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2016, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that the United Kingdom is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, please be advised that you are accepting these terms :

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable on the proviso that there is no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Kind regards (without prejudice),

Name withheld (privacy act).
I have stolen this, repurposed it, and posted it to face book. Giving you full credit of course....

Excellent post. I had to borrow it and post it to Facebook. Merry Christmas all. Enjoy your time with your families, friends, co-workers or whoever you may be spending it with.

Over-talking offends me, so I'm calling my lawyer.

Happy Christmas and a merry New Year mate!

You're right Alan. I still go for my morning walk even on Christmas Day. I love the peace and quiet as most folks suspend 'standing orders' for the day.
It's a good opportunity to prepare for the day ahead.
