-12 seconds now. I took my rolex to the AD today. I explained the problem. I asked them if they could demagnetise it. Nope. They couldn`t. They don`t know what causes it.
They have recommended a full overhaul. On a rolex that is just 3 years old !!!!! Would cost me more then 600 euro. I am highly disappointed.
Will take it to a RSD in Hong Kong where it is AT LEAST half price for the same service.

Very unfortunate. It shouldn't need a service that soon. Do you have amplitude results from timegrapher?

I am in Hong Kong now where i brought it to the service center. It was running at -9 seconds. It can be regulated but they are going to overhaul it. Free of charge as the warranty has just expired. How nice is that.

They usually speed up when magnetised.
One minute they're running fine, the next minute they're running about + 20 secs/day.

In some cases that's not unusual for that to occur occasionally.
It's only unusual if it happens repeatedly.

Maybe there is something wrong with it?

The RSD gave my watch a overhaul. That means the disassembled it cleaned and reoiled. No parts were replaced.
They blamed it on the oil that failed. As the watch was just 3 years old they waved the costs.
I received the green pouch. No paper work and no warranty.

The watch is now running perfectly. I wonder how it is going to behave in the coming weeks/months.

They still advice the 5 years service interval.

Just got mine overhauled as well. Green pouch and 2 year warranty. The paper work was the official receipt which contains the service date, warranty period, etc.

I did see on another thread where someone was given a green card which looked almost identical to the card that comes with the watch.

That is true if you pay for the overhaul. Mine was repaired under warranty. They don`t extend the warranty.

I hear you. -9 seconds was bugging me. Now it is +0,1.
At the end didn`t have to pay anything. So for me it worked out fine.

Rolex accuracy is -2/+2 seconds per day but your watch is still within COSC standards, at the moment its Ok.

Clearly a different approach than US RSCs. Did you have your card and sales receipt???

How does one determine how many seconds a watch loses per day, by the way?

Thanks

I would not even consider touching it with that minimal time loss.

I agree, do not open the watch for that reason.

Magnetized watches are usually far off.

They sell timing machines... or you can just hack your second hand to your iphone, wait 24 hours, and then use your ocular sensory devices to check the time on both things.

I took the card with me. In the Hong Kong RSC they don`t give a new card like the one in Belgium, Brussels. A standard overhaul would cost about 300 euro in Hong Kong vs Belgium 650 euro.
