This one shows well a massive chip out of the edge of the crystal at 10:30. Wonder how I did that?

Hi Greg!

I don't think I've said hello and welcome to TRF from neighboring MN! I come to WI a lot. What a nice Submariner with an even richer history! Be sure you have it serviced from time to time.

Yessir! Service time is now!

Thanks much for the welcome; I fear I just dove in without any introduction. If you are in Wisconsin, you are more than welcome to stop by. I'm in the small but very charming town of Mineral Point, a hillside town in the Driftless Area, midway between Madison and Dubuque along 151. I moved here from Portland, OR about nine years ago, for a retired Power & Light powerplant building. Inside, I have shops where I work on the decorative woodwork in pre-1970 Mercedes-Benz. It would be good fun if you were able to come by; I'll take you out to lunch, as long as it's not on a Monday when everything is closed!

Nice old building. I've never been in your neck of the woods, but would like to because I would like to see Taleisin, House on the Rock, etc. I'll have to figure out a reason to come down that way and look you up!

I'm an old car buff too, and while I don't own any, definitely appreciate my friends'. A late friend had a restored 300SL Convertible as his daily driver, old Packards, LaSalles, Deusenbergs, Mercers, etc. as toys!

Still have, and wear daily, my GMT "Pepsi". It will go to my daughter.
2+ decades on my wrist and the stories it could tell!
Quality time all the way.

I'm new to the forum. My wife gave this watch to me on my birthday in 1994. It still looks great!. Recently had it serviced and cleaned. I am still very happy with it.

Yes, I still have my first Rolex. 1977 Sea-Dweller. Wear it everyday. Will post a picture once I get it back from having it serviced.

I somewhat did keep my first Rolex which was the Rolex Turnograph. First I gave it as a gift to my favorite Uncle then I bought another same TOG but in the end I exchanged the new one for my old one back as I thought the first one had more meaning to me. My Uncle didn't mind getting a newer watch in the end. Worked out both ways for us:)

Yes I only got my GMT ll last October but I know that I'll have it forever. There are a few more I'd like as well (in time) but I'll never sell this one.
