718 I had the longest but found to be too much gold for me quite honestly. I've been getting along better with more understated references. I very much enjoyed the 619 and miss it a lot!

I'm lusting for a 116655 at the moment....

My feet are damp from my 1803; it is conspicuous enough that I'm more than happy to wear my SS watches. Even with those my DJII is flashy enough that I don't always want to wear it. White gold and Pt may slip under the radar but otherwise I'm not anxious for the spot light or the cost.

Tried that one on last week, and man was I impressed. That strap is awesome...it joined the black dial RG Daytona as watches I absolutely love, but RG just doesn't fit me for wear. Maybe once I'm retired and spend more time in the sun

My PM Rolex pieces are the BLRO and DD40. If the Smurf had the same fine sunburst dial as my Hulk (very similar to the TT 'Bluesey') then I would probably buy it.

I thought that this year would be the change based upon 7 years of production of the LV before the switch to Hulk, but i was wrong.

Maybe it will change in a few years, in the meantime the Bluesey keeps catching my eye.

How about the rest of you? I've held back on PM Rolex for many years, but the creep is there...between the smurf, BLRO and platinum Daytona, there has been a pull I haven't felt before. And to make it worse, I've been actively trying them on when I get the chance.

But I do love my SS watches, and would hope not to lose interest in them if I get sucked down that PM path. I do like variety and its much easier (for me anyway) to have a variety of SS than gold/platinum.

Thoughts?
There is always room in a collection for SS and PM. I would also include TT in that mix as well.

My preference is still PM, but I do have three SS references in my collection for the times when I don't feel like wearing PM. As a Rolex fanatic, I cannot see myself losing interest in SS references. At this point in time, my collection consists of three PM references and three SS references. Need to take a shot of my SS references together.
