there are new ones for 32-34k in euros, isn't that 40% off retail? LOL about dreaming, not a watch I am interested in at all, the price would need to be around 25k to interest me, but only if I wanted a chromo/AC on strap since I would put a strap, not really what I want...

Doesn't look like a genuine ad as the pictures aren't theirs. Many times on chrono24 you'll see advertisements with stock pictures and they don't have the watch. Or if they do have it, it's not in the condition you would assume.
A new 5960/2 could be found for around 40k - and that would be a very good deal.

I don't know but everytime I got new watches from them, including 2 sealed Pateks, they were the best priced or almost on C24 and they were exactly as described, but I know that not all dealers are like that and some are as you say...
About stock pictures it's often the case if the dealer has a new sealed one, like everything you need to call them to see if it's good or not, I still don't think they hit rock bottom, a potential client should still wait...

How did u get them if they don't ship overseas?? 450 watches in their shop which is on a busy street of Dubai comprising mostly of villas. Certainly not sea king considering what the stick value of 400 watches must be. I will take a little turn at the end of the month and see if legit!

Remember when I was closing the deal for my 5235G my agent show me the 5960/1A.. The price for the 1A was slightly more expensive than the 5235G.. I was so close at buying both on the spot but those bracelet hold me back.

Love my 5235G.

Yeah.. If me, I would let the 5960/1A go. As mentioned by Ken, you sell low but you buy low too. You won't lose! Happy hunting!

Cheers,
Jen

I was referring to chrono24, not this dealer in particular but for a great deal I would get on a plane and go very far if needed

All, thanks for responses -- I've been following the thread and it's given me a lot to think about.

I have also been wearing it since I posted and I've been reminded how much I do really like/enjoy/appreciate the watch. And while I was very serious about parting ways with it, I'm going to keep it. I still find it to be super-cool, modern, and very functional. Coming from a world of sport watches, it just hits all of the right buttons if I want a sporty Patek watch (I'm also one of the ones who loves the original bracelet as is).

Good for you! And good call in my opinion. I think it's a great watch and it looks pretty awesome on the wrist. Enjoy 👍

I'll echo others and suggest you simply wear it more.

I wonder, for those that don't like the bracelet, have you actually seen it in person? I find that pictures don't do both the dial or the bracelet justice.

Seen it in person many times in tons of different ADs windows readily available which is not a good sign. Should've left the bracelet off of it and charged 10-15K less

boutique in paris had 3 in their display last year. I thought it was weird that they would display all 3 at the same time.

I actually really like the style of the bracelet and the sporty look of the dial. I have the same bracelet on my 5130 (except in RG), but I think it works well with the sporty nature of the 5160. At the market value of low-mid 30's I think this is a great value in terms of Pateks. I mean it's a self-winding annual calendar flyback chrono!

I agree. Only looking at pictures the bracelet didn't do it for me. Then I saw one in person and realized the bracelet is simply sublime. The opaline dial as well.

However, for me the case is a bit too thick and I'm not loving the piston pushers. Otherwise I would own one.

That said for an annual calendar, chrono, power reserve and day night indicator prices don't seem too absurd. The lowest price I've seen is close to 40k in USD.

Yes it is one of those watches that looks better irl than in pictures. Although, I've probably only seen it once so far at any AD.

For me I think that the thickness of the case is a negative for the P and R models which are on strap and dressier. However, I think it works with the sporty vibe of the steel on bracelet. That said it would've been nicer with 50-60 meters of WR. Also DavidSW has one for 34.5k.

I think its a cool watch... but like anything... if you don't wear it, use it or like it... then sell it! Good time to buy another watch!
