Yikes , germs buddy. I agree with Adam. I removed mine on a Y serial sea dweller I got and used an alcohol swap to clean it after.

Exactly and if I remember a Hong Kong woman sued Rolex because the case back sticker gave her a rash owing to the huge bacteria living there after years of wearing. Her augment was that she had not removed the label because she was afraid she would lose Rolex's worldwide guarantee or lose proof of the watch's authenticity. And that it should have stated on the paperwork to remove label before wearing.

I hope she had a good lawyer! Maybe that's why the stickers were discontinued.

I don't think you can sue because you're too stupid. Then again, stranger lawsuits have been filed....

It was just like the one pictured above and had the model number on it. They did make a note of it on my work order paperwork. It read something like removed green case back sticker.

Not sure if they would do the same to the clear plastic ones.

I have since removed them from all my watches.

It just becomes a gooey mess. I wish they'd never done it in the first place.

My 114060 had it on when I bought it used. since it's my daily wearer, the sticker gradually became a ghost of itself. The watch came back from service with the sticker gone; once I saw it gone I asked myself why I'd kept in on so long.

As the old commercial said, "take it off."

When people have a sticker on the watch case back for years - it tells me they have poor hygiene rutines. If they wash their hands and watch - the sticker will fall off - sooner or later. Better sooner than later, that is.
