I will give the nod to the SKD b/c the traveler's function is more useful to me and annual calendar complication. Although why that is paired with a secondary time function, I've not figured out yet. And I love the sunburst dial.

If resale is a concern, I would also give a look at the YG DD40 with silver/romans. Virtually the same dial (without the second time zone, of course), and I would think you would have a much easier time unloading a DD than a SKD without taking as much of a hit. That's purely a subjective guess on my part, though.
Thanks Larry! Much appreciated! I thought about DDII or DD40, but I prefer 42 to 44mm. Sounds like I need to see that silver dial in person to really appreciate that sunburst. I loved the green sunburst of my hulk. Either way, I plan to buy preowned to minimize losses if I ever had to sell. Thanks again and take care.

BUT If it were up to me and it had to be just one PM watch... I would opt for the Sky Dweller model ONLY because in my opinion, style wise, the Sky dweller is more versatile... Because it encases BOTH the classy and sporty look at the same time~ with some of the similar Rolex trademark accents you can find on the day date President with the fluted bezel etc... giving it more of a dressy look but at the same time has the Sportier oyster bracelet giving it a Sporty look also~ Meaning you can dress it up or down as it seems more sublte~
Now the YMII on the other hand, holds more of a SPORTY look with its Bold thick blue bezel etc... dont get me wrong... it also is classy and beautiful but just MORE on the Sportier side...
Nonetheless no matter which watch you choose, they are BOTH AWESOME choices and I think you would be happy with either one! So ENJOY the process!
Great comparison! I appreciate that. I'm leaning toward SkyD now and maybe later get the SS YMII sine the SkyD is only offered in PM. Do you think Rolex will ever release a SS SkyD? Thanks again.

Another vote for skyD here ... The dial is just catchy and the watch is really dressy

YG SkyD silver dial or YG YMII

I like them both but I'd go SD

Having experience with both, I prefer YM2.

The SkD is a great watch but it seems a bit of an oddity for a dressy model. Don't get me wrong, I like the SkD a LOT. If it had been released with a president bracelet vs the oyster, I might have a different opinion. IMO it's BIG for a dressy model while the YM2 is intended to be a sports watch and its size seems more appropriate. I also like that the YM2 was the first bezel integrated movement. Finally I like the security of the flip over clasp on the YM2's clasp vs the SkD.

No, I think the AC is a serious comp for them and will stay on PM, even after they release the rumoured PC.
