"Before & After" Let's See Your Restoration/serviced Rolex

Great thread. I love seeing these projects come to life. Some great work here.
One of the most rewarding parts of the hobby for me. I am looking for another project currently. Trying to find a 6263/5 in need of some love and restoration!

Project detailed in this thread.
Rolex truly is a tool watch!

Absolutely stunning difference. Its hard to believe that's the same sea dweller. Do you know the back story how your beautiful time piece got in that condition? Looks like it was in a motorcycle wreck?

I believe it was just the usual 'wear and tear' and no specific sentinel event. Here is the thread when I first acquired the watch......

Sweet Jason!

What about the other Rolex the store got for restoration? Did you ended up buying it too?

Thank you for contributing. Absolutely beautiful mat black dial on that 6694. Do you ever regret selling it being you made it into your own making it so nice and pretty? Did you like having a manual wind?

Keep them coming guys. I love everyone I've seen so far . I thought there would be more restoration photos since its fun to look at before and after a restoration

Just purely amazing how nice they polish up. I love your Tudor BTW. I've owned one Tudor it was a ranger and I gave it to my dad who then gave it to my grandfather years ago....

Thanks! I was quite fond of this watch and I agree, it is very nice!

It ended up costing me a bit more to restore than I wanted to spend, but I think my guy did a great job. I liked the manual wind and thought this was a very nice watch with a very nice presentation.

Honestly, if I had the original bracelet in good condition, I would have probably kept it. But I get more use and enjoyment from the Explorer, so no regrets!

Mark you know I love your 5512. I've enjoyed the after picture for a long time. I had never seen your before picture. Who did the work for you? It's a great looking watch my friend. Looks like something I need to get into.

Hi Russell, thank you for the kind words. I did the external work myself. The watch smith is a friend in NY who does does some work on the side. He is a great watch smith. I was lucky that we found some tritium hands that matched perfectly. I do love the Maxi dials on these.

my friend.
