Enquired about the Daytona C today in Rolex Boutique on Bond Street - one minute they had a list for deposit only, asked if I could put deposit down then told list was closed! Still saying late May/early June for AD delivery in London.
Admittedly I am not a suit and tie man and don't scream 'cash' to look at, maybe some would label me a bit scruffy!, but that's my preference and I can afford one of these without having to take credit or a loan. Seems I'm not Rolex's 'demographic'!! Anyone else found this while searching for a Daytona C? Find it frustrating that Rolex and AD's have a 'snobby' attitude about selling the watch - thought that's what retailing was all about - supply to demand? Times like this I wish I resided in the states where you don't seem to have this issue? |
