I wouldn't bother nitpicking this watch.
Just find a better specimen. It's just a can of worms especially for a novice. Sent from my SM-G900V

Yeah, I think we established that it's a definite "PASS" a while back. That said, I think there is still value in discussing things that lead people to make such determinations. YMMV...

Yes, I think it prudent to mosey on...
Where do I get the knowledge to recognize the minute details that differentiate an outright conterfeit vs. frankenwatch vs. legit? Obviously I don't want to break the rules, and I know some of the easy to spot stuff... Window case back, etc... Are there any books or websites? I've been reading some of the threads on here and for good reason, they are fairly vague. I have attempted to cross reference some of the few details, but not much comes up. Point me in a direction. I am eager to learn the ropes! |

Hang out here and read as much as you can about the more technical stuff. It'll all gel eventually. In the meantime look on this board for watches and get to know who the real trusted sellers are. In due time you'll find the watch you want at a price you can afford. It'll come and you should enjoy the ride. Sent from my SM-G900V

I'd not rush into this. I'd spend a ton of time researching the watch you like, then thoroughly research sellers...online / offline...buy the seller first.

LSMwatch sells the same type of pieces as beckertime. Aftermarket bezels/dials on vintage pieces... also I looked through their listings and I found it funny that they have 352 feedbacks but 198 appear to be crystals that they sold!! That's a lot of padding!!
